Monday: Girls' Brigade

Girls' Brigade meets every Monday between 6.30pm until 9.00pm in the church hall for girls from the age of 3 years.

Tiny Tots (3-5 years) meet from 6.30pm to 7.30pm
Explorers (5-7 years) meet from 6.30pm to 7.30pm
Juniors (8-11 years) meet from 7.30pm to 8.30pm
Seniors (12-14 years) meet from 7.30pm to 9.00pm
Brigaders (15 years and over) meet from 7.30pm to 9.00pm

The Girls' Brigade is a Christian youth organisation for girls of all ages, backgrounds and abilities. A varied programme of fun activities is offered (scriptures, arts and crafts, PE, dance and games), designed to educate, challenge and inspire young girls in a safe environment of Christian teaching.

Maghaberry Girls' Brigade has been running for 27 years. Captained by the faithful Captain Sylvia Ferguson, the Girls' Brigade meets every Monday night. The company has 3 officers, Laura Dickson, Alexis Beckett and Joanne Ferguson, along with 3 sub-officers, Emma Armstrong, Tara Drummond and Claire Anderson. Joanne Zeelie and Rachel Beckett will complete their Officers' Course in September 2009 to qualify as officers.

Thursday: Boys' Brigade

The Boys' Brigade is a worldwide Christian youth organisation for boys aged 4 years and over. We meet every Thursday from 6.30pm to 9.30pm .

Anchor Boys (3-6 years) meet from 6.30pm to 7.30pm
Juniors (7-11 years) meet from 7.30pm to 8.30pm
Company Section (12 years and over) meet from 8.30pm - 9.30pm

The Maghaberry Boys' Brigade has been running for 27 years. At present, Maghaberry Boys' Brigade has no Captain, but the group of leaders work well together as a team. The leaders are Mark Spence, Gillian Best, Joanne Ferguson, Rodney Latimer, Les McGeoun, Sylvia Ferguson and Aubrey Graham. Joanne Zeelie teaches the Junior Section and Company Section their Scripture Course.

A varied programme of fun activities including marching, drill, games, sports and bible stories is offered, designed to educate, challenge and inspire young boys in a safe environment of Christian teaching.
