We'd love to welcome you to any of our worship services or activities!

You'll find us on the Maghaberry Road in Maghaberry - between the crossroads and the primary school. Entrance is by the doors at the front of the building, or for organisations using the hall the side door is often used.

Thanks for visiting our website! Please keep checking our website regularly as we keep you informed of all that's happening in our church community.

The Church on the Hill is a worshipping community that is combined from both Methodist Church and Church of Ireland. You are most welcome to visit and join us whatever your church background. We meet every Sunday morning at 10.30am in our building close to Maghaberry Primary School, and offer a range of youth and children's activities throughout the week.

We hope sometime you might consider paying us a visit in person :)

BB and GB Starting Dates

We are excited to let you know that Girls' Brigade and Boys' Brigade will be starting up again soon for the 2009 - 2010 year. Put these dates in your diary:

The Girls' Brigade will start again on Monday 14th September 2009:

Explorers aged 5-7 and TinyTots aged 3-5 meet from 6.30-7.30
Juniors aged 8-11 meet from 7.30-8.30
Seniors aged 12-14 meet from7.30-9.00
Brigaders aged 15 and over meet from 7.30-9.00

And Boys' Brigade will start again on Thursday 17th September 2009:

Anchor Boys aged 3-6 meet from 6.30 -7.30
Juniors aged 7-11 meet from 7.30 -8.30
Company Section aged 12 and over meet from 8.30-9.30

Sunday Worship

We worship God together every Sunday morning at 10.30am. A Kids' Club and crèche takes place at the same time so the whole family can take part.

Monday: Girls' Brigade

Girls' Brigade meets every Monday between 6.30pm until 9.00pm in the church hall for girls from the age of 3 years.

Tiny Tots (3-5 years) meet from 6.30pm to 7.30pm
Explorers (5-7 years) meet from 6.30pm to 7.30pm
Juniors (8-11 years) meet from 7.30pm to 8.30pm
Seniors (12-14 years) meet from 7.30pm to 9.00pm
Brigaders (15 years and over) meet from 7.30pm to 9.00pm

The Girls' Brigade is a Christian youth organisation for girls of all ages, backgrounds and abilities. A varied programme of fun activities is offered (scriptures, arts and crafts, PE, dance and games), designed to educate, challenge and inspire young girls in a safe environment of Christian teaching.

Maghaberry Girls' Brigade has been running for 27 years. Captained by the faithful Captain Sylvia Ferguson, the Girls' Brigade meets every Monday night. The company has 3 officers, Laura Dickson, Alexis Beckett and Joanne Ferguson, along with 3 sub-officers, Emma Armstrong, Tara Drummond and Claire Anderson. Joanne Zeelie and Rachel Beckett will complete their Officers' Course in September 2009 to qualify as officers.

Thursday: Boys' Brigade

The Boys' Brigade is a worldwide Christian youth organisation for boys aged 4 years and over. We meet every Thursday from 6.30pm to 9.30pm .

Anchor Boys (3-6 years) meet from 6.30pm to 7.30pm
Juniors (7-11 years) meet from 7.30pm to 8.30pm
Company Section (12 years and over) meet from 8.30pm - 9.30pm

The Maghaberry Boys' Brigade has been running for 27 years. At present, Maghaberry Boys' Brigade has no Captain, but the group of leaders work well together as a team. The leaders are Mark Spence, Gillian Best, Joanne Ferguson, Rodney Latimer, Les McGeoun, Sylvia Ferguson and Aubrey Graham. Joanne Zeelie teaches the Junior Section and Company Section their Scripture Course.

A varied programme of fun activities including marching, drill, games, sports and bible stories is offered, designed to educate, challenge and inspire young boys in a safe environment of Christian teaching.

The CAMEO Group

The CAMEO group are a ladies group that meet monthly at the Church on the Hill. The name is made up for the initials:

Come And Meet Each Other

The group arranges a variety of topics for which a speaker is invited. Past topics have included "Floral Art", "Jewellery Making", "Colour Me Beautiful" and "Line Dancing". We also have a Christmas Dinner each year and arrange outings.
